Guidance Software Named a Leader in Gartner 2013 E-Discovery Magic Quadrant for Third Year Running

Chris Kruse

Our e-discovery team was proud to learn that Guidance Software has once again been named a Leader in this year’s Gartner Magic Quadrant for e-discovery vendors—for the third year in a row. This is a great testament to the work of our EnCase® eDiscovery developers and product managers, as well as to our active partnerships with clients among the Fortune 100, who help us predict what the most useful capabilities need to be not just today and tomorrow, but next year.

Some of the functionality that has kept EnCase eDiscovery in the Leaders quadrant is its unique ability to do pre- and post-case assessment at any point in the e-discovery process. In addition, our Saas review platform, EnCase eDiscovery Review, provides legal teams with a central legal repository with fully integrated multi-matter support, enabling any number of attorneys to operate securely on any number of cases within the same virtual workspace, on the same set of documents—independently or in collaboration—without compromising confidentiality.

Another distinctive advantage of EnCase eDiscovery is the secure, judicially accepted, and proprietary logical evidence file (LEF) format, which allows storage of evidence in a secure, compressed, and forensically sound manner.

We also believe that the one-click integration between the on-premise and SaaS versions of EnCase eDiscovery has helped us gain strength in the Gartner MQ. This integration gives in-house legal departments precisely what they need to stay at the top of their litigation game, while dealing with the electronically stored information (ESI) tsunami: nearly limitless scalability, speed, and efficiency. Combined with the oversight and manageability already made possible by EnCase eDiscovery, this integrated solution covers every phase of the e-discovery workflow and is designed to help counsel work the way that works best for them.

I congratulate our team and I welcome your thoughts in the comments below. I’m looking forward to more successes both in-house and in collaboration with our clients.
